In partnership with National Museums Scotland, the National Museum of Scotland will host a special Deaf Families Takeover Day as part of Edinburgh Deaf Festival.

Designed for families with children aged 0–11, the day will feature a range of free activities for different age groups, including sensory play, crafts, object handling, creative activities and family-friendly experiences inspired by the museum’s collections.

The event will also include accessible family activities, BSL-supported sessions and opportunities for families to explore the museum in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
