Join the artists behind who will be remembered here for an in-conversation exploring what it means to reimagine storytelling in new, expansive forms, and reclaim history for yourself.

Film creators, playwright Lewis Hetherington and visual artist CJ Mahony, will be in conversation with Bea Webster, a deaf, queer Scottish-Thai actor, writer and theatre-maker, and one of the artists who contributed a performance to the film.

Responding to the ancient site of Machrie Moor Standing Stones on the Isle of Arran, Webster’s performance in BSL explores the resonances and dissonances between that historic site and their lived experience.

who will be remembered here is a tender film which draws intimate connections between queer people across the span of Scottish history. Hetherington and Mahony invited four queer writers to respond to Historic Environment Scotland sites, bringing to light experiences and lives that have been rendered invisible by the erasure of marginalised people from history.

! Acknowledges how queer and Disabled people have been excluded from historic spaces, and how to foster inclusion.

This event is in partnership with Edinburgh Art Festival.
