Join award-winning Deaf visual artist Viktoryia (Vika) Rudenko for a playful 2-hour exploration of
facial expression through watercolour and Deaf View/Image Art (De’VIA).
In Deaf culture, the eyes and mouth are essential tools of communication, conveying emotion,
tone, and meaning beyond words. Participants will paint expressive facial features using
pre-illustrated face templates while learning about De’VIA as a powerful form of Deaf artistic
and cultural expression.
All supplies are included, including watercolour paints, brushes, paper, and pre-illustrated facial
templates. No previous watercolour experience is required. All skill levels are welcome.
